Cleopatra Group Visits Afreximbank

A delegation from Cleopatra Group (CG), led by Mohamed Abou El Enein, founder and Chairman of the Group, has visited the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) to explore opportunities for collaboration in promoting intra-African trade.

Receiving the delegation, Amr Kamel, Afreximbank’s Executive Vice President for Business Development and Corporate Banking, expressed appreciation for the visit and said that Afreximbank would be glad to partner with Cleopatra Group in driving industrialization, trade and investment across Africa.

Mr. Kamel briefed Mr. El-Enein on the Bank’s work in support of African trade, including the support it provides to businesses and entities in Egypt.

Mr. El-Enein, who received the award for the Best Industrialist in the African Continent during the 10th African Union Private Sector Forum held in Cairo earlier in the month, expressed his keenness to participate in Intra-African Trade Fair being organized by Afreximbank in Cairo in December in order to showcase the Group’s products.

Also attending the meeting from Afreximbank were Kanayo Awani, Managing Director, Intra-African Trade Initiative; Rene Awambeng, Global Head, Client Relations; and Dr. Christiane Abou-Lehaf, Manager, International Cooperation.

Cleopatra Group, an Egyptian pioneer in ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles, sanitary ware and bath sets manufacturing, was founded in 1983. The Group’s business ventures were subsequently diversified to cover the areas of agriculture, mining, real estate, tourism, media, high-tech projects and aviation. The company currently exports products to 108 countries.
