President Oramah Meets Mozambique Ambassador

Prof. Benedict Oramah, President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), yesterday in Cairo paid a courtesy call on Amb. Jose Miguel Nunes Jnr., the Mozambican ambassador to Egypt.

Prof. Oramah and Amb. Nunes Jr. used the opportunity of the visit to discuss ways of fostering collaboration between Afreximbank and Mozambique, which is one of the founding members of the Bank.

They also discussed ways of facilitating the process to conclude Mozambique’s ratification of the Afreximbank Establishment Agreement.

In addition, Prof. Oramah briefed the ambassador on the arrangements for the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2018) being organized by the Bank in Cairo in December and said that Afreximbank would count on his support to ensure Mozambique’s participation.

The ambassador pledged to do his best to fast track Mozambique’s ratification of the Establishment Agreement and added that the government was already making plans to participate in IATF2018.
