Job Summary
The Manager, Trade Intelligence Solutions (TRADAR Club) will be responsible for leading and scaling the TRADAR Club, a members-only initiative aimed at empowering businesses with trade intelligence and advisory services. The role involves expanding membership, fostering partnerships, organizing trade facilitation events, and driving revenue growth through premium services.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in trade intelligence, business development, stakeholder engagement, and digital trade solutions, with experience in scaling businesses and managing partnerships within the trade or financial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Engagement
- Develop and execute a scalable strategy to attract high-value importers, exporters, and investors into the TRADAR Club.
- Build relationships with trade associations, chambers of commerce, and government agencies to expand the Club’s reach.
- Collaborate with the Bank’s origination teams to onboard relevant clients.
- Design and manage exclusive networking events, trade missions, and forums for members.
- Provide members with market intelligence, trade insights, and advisory support to facilitate trade and investment.
Revenue Growth & Business Development
- Take shared ownership of TRADAR Club’s P&L, driving revenue growth while optimizing costs.
- Develop and implement strategies for premium memberships, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
- Work with marketing, commercialization, and product teams to enhance member value propositions.
- Establish KPIs for membership growth, engagement, and revenue generation.
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Establish strategic alliances with key stakeholders, including corporations, trade finance institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Partner with logistics, legal, and compliance experts to provide value-added services to members.
- Represent Afreximbank at trade expos, summits, and industry conferences to promote the TRADAR Club.
Digital Trade Solutions & Platform Management
- Promote Afreximbank’s digital trade solutions, conducting demonstrations and onboarding members.
- Work with product development teams to enhance the TRADAR Club’s digital platform.
- Oversee digital adoption and usage analytics to improve user experience and engagement.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, ensuring alignment with profitability goals.
- Generate revenue from diversified streams, including trainings, trade events, and sponsorships.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to AML, Anti-Bribery, and Insider Trading policies.
- Report any suspicious activities to the Compliance Department.
- Complete the Annual Compliance Training & Assessment as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education:
- Master’s degree or MBA in Business, International Trade, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in trade facilitation, business development, or investment promotion.
- Proven track record in scaling businesses, managing partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
- Strong networking and relationship management skills, particularly with high-net-worth traders and investors.
- Deep understanding of African trade regulations, markets, and investment opportunities.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Experience with digital trade solutions, business process automation, and trade analytics.
- Strong knowledge of African trade policy, export/import procedures, and regulatory frameworks.

- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across teams in finance, marketing, and business development.
- Fluency in English and French is required; knowledge of Arabic or Portuguese is an added advantage.
