Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, EXDE Division Support will provide administrative and business support to the Export Development Division, ensuring efficient operations, communication, and coordination within the division. The role involves managing the Managing Director’s activities, handling correspondence, coordinating meetings, tracking deadlines, and enhancing collaboration across departments.
The ideal candidate should have strong organizational, communication, and business support skills, with experience in financial institutions or trade development organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Business Support
- Serve as the primary administrative and business support liaison for the Export Development Division.
- Ensure operational processes are fit for purpose as the division expands.
- Manage the Managing Director’s schedule, meetings, and commitments to optimize efficiency.
- Act as a bridge for smooth communication between the MD and internal/external stakeholders.
- Track and monitor submissions, approvals, and deadlines to ensure compliance with timelines.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action points.
- Coordinate conference planning, business events, and travel arrangements for the division.
- Process incoming and outgoing divisional mail and correspondence.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as the first point of contact for Export Development colleagues and stakeholders.
- Direct queries and requests to relevant internal departments.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth business operations.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to Afreximbank’s AML, Regulatory, and Conduct Compliance policies, including:
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Counter-Terrorism Financing
- Conflict of Interest Policies
- Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) Guidelines
- Insider Trading & Staff Conduct Rules
- Report any suspicious or non-compliant activities to the Compliance Department.
- Complete the Annual Compliance Training & Assessment.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in administration, business support, or financial services.
- Familiarity with industrialization, trade development, and export finance.
- Experience in handling confidential matters, managing workload priorities, and coordinating senior-level engagements.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong business coordination, document management, and executive support skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and workflow automation tools.
- Ability to track and monitor business processes, project deadlines, and operational efficiency.

Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French is an advantage).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across departments.
