Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Finance (Management Accounts & Reports) will support the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, financial planning, and performance analysis. The role involves financial data management, variance analysis, cost control reporting, and compliance with financial regulations to ensure the Bank’s financial health and transparency.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in financial management, IFRS reporting, budgeting, and financial modeling, with knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Finacle.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Management Accounting
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports, including variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and mid-year budget reviews for Board approval.
- Monitor financial performance and implementation of the Bank’s annual budgets.
- Provide financial data for investor reports and internal performance reviews.
- Assist in the automation and improvement of the budget process.
Strategic Business Planning & Cost Control
- Prepare monthly profitability reports by sector, department, and customer, ensuring reconciliation with Origination departments.
- Support the development of rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning models.
- Assist in monitoring cost controls and ensuring that budgets are adhered to.
- Participate in business plan modeling, scenario planning, and variance analysis for Senior Management.
- Develop financial reports for cost control initiatives and operational efficiency tracking.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to the Bank’s AML, regulatory, and conduct compliance policies, including:
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC)
- Insider Trading Guidelines
- Report any suspicious financial activities to the Compliance Department.
- Facilitate KYC reviews for financial counterparties.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Economics).
- A postgraduate degree or professional accounting qualification (ACA, CMA, CPA, ACCA) is required.

Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or audit.
- Experience in a Big Four accounting firm or financial services sector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting frameworks.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Finacle) and financial planning tools.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience with variance analysis, cost control, and performance tracking.
- Strong understanding of financial data analysis and regulatory compliance.
