The President of the Initiative for Global Development (IGD), Dr. Mima Nedelcovych, visited the Cairo Headquarters of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) today for discussions on collaboration between the Initiative and the African continental trade finance bank.

Dr. Nedelcovych, who was received by Afreximbank President Dr. Benedict Oramah, said that he was in Cairo to see how the Bank could support the IGD’s Frontier 100 Forum and how the initiative could help to raise the Bank’s profile in the United States.

He said that the visit had enabled him to get a better feel about the Bank and its work in promoting intra-African trade and in boosting integration in Africa.

Earlier, President Oramah welcomed him to the Bank and said that the Bank would continue to look into ways of continuing to work with the Initiative on its various programmes.
