Afreximbank Launches $1 billion Programme to Promote Nigeria-Africa Trade; Signs MoU for $1.235 billion for Industrial Parks
Cairo, 13 Dec. 2018: – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) today in Cairo signed an agreement with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM), launching a $1-billion Nigeria-Africa Trade and Investment Promotion Programme (NATIPP) aimed at promoting and expanding trade and investments between Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
Cairo, 11 Dec. 2018: – Further driving its mandate to facilitate the growth of intra-Africa trade and support the development of African businesses, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) yesterday, in Cairo signed financing facilities totalling $600 million with the Heirs Holdings Group, a pan-African proprietary investment holding company.
Cairo, 11 Dec. 2018: – The first-ever Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) to be held on the continent opened today in Cairo with the President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Prof. Benedict Oramah, calling for the implementation of initiatives that will add meaning to that African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

Cairo, 04 Dec. 2018: – Central African Republic today in Cairo formalised its membership of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) with the deposit of the instrument of the country’s ratification of the Bank’s Establishment Agreement with the continental trade finance institution.

Afreximbank Releases 2018 Nine-month Abridged Unaudited Financial Statements, Showing Strong Financial and Operational Performance
Cairo, 23 Nov. 2018: – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has released its unaudited financial statements for the nine months ended 30 September 2018, showing strong financial and operational performance, with gross income of $546.6 million (a 14.3 per cent increase from the same period last year) and net income of $172.4 million (a growth of 11.9 per cent from the same period last year).

Afreximbank Grants EUR 30 Million Facility to CDC Gabon to Support Operators at Special Economic Zone
Cairo, 12 Nov. 2018: – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) today in Cairo signed an agreement granting an EUR 30 million revolving trade financing facility to Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations du Gabon (CDC Gabon) to support the operations of the tenants of the Gabon Special Economic Zone and to provide them with the capacity to export their products.
