Cairo, 04 Dec. 2018: – Central African Republic today in Cairo formalised its membership of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) with the deposit of the instrument of the country’s ratification of the Bank’s Establishment Agreement with the continental trade finance institution.
Africa has the money to meet the estimated $300 billion annual cost required for the attainment of the 10-year plan under the African Union’s Agenda 2063, Prof. Benedict Oramah, President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), has said.

Afreximbank Releases 2018 Nine-month Abridged Unaudited Financial Statements, Showing Strong Financial and Operational Performance
Cairo, 23 Nov. 2018: – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has released its unaudited financial statements for the nine months ended 30 September 2018, showing strong financial and operational performance, with gross income of $546.6 million (a 14.3 per cent increase from the same period last year) and net income of $172.4 million (a growth of 11.9 per cent from the same period last year).

Casablanca, Morocco, 09 November 2018: Amr Kamel, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Banking, at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), and Faouzia Zaaboul, Director of the Treasury and External Finance Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Kingdom of Morocco, on 7 November in Casablanca, Morocco, chaired the opening of the Afreximbank Structured Trade Finance Seminar, with Mr. Kamel saying that structured trade finance offers Africa a vital pathway to boosting intra-African trade and increasing the continent’s global exports.

Bali, Indonesia, 16 Oct. 2018: A delegation of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) led by the President, Prof. Benedict Oramah, on Wednesday in Bali, Indonesia, held talks with a Zimbabwean Government team led by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Prof. Mthuli Ncube, and the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, Dr. John Mangudya, to discuss Afreximbank’s support to Zimbabwe’s economic recovery.
The medical Centre of Excellence being built by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Nigeria will have a major impact in Africa by reducing the foreign exchange cost incurred by Africans through traveling outside to seek medical care by keeping medical tourism within the continent, Prof. Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank, has said.
