Two leading Egyptian business organizations have come out in commendation of Jean-Louis Ekra, President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), for building the Bank into a “strong and reliable financial institution” able to leverage significant international finance into Africa for the continent’s economic development.
Cairo, 04 September 2015 – To raise awareness and increase access to its financing services and products available to the Tanzanian market, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is to hold a business forum in the Tanzanian capital of Dar-es-Salam on 10 September.
Recognizing that investments directed towards export diversification and increased manufacturing industries have been the most reliable strategy and path to achieving sustainable inclusive growth and enhanced integration into the global economy, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has initiated actions to promote structural transformation and value addition in African economies, Bank President Jean-Louis Ekra, has announced.
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) joined family members, friends and colleagues in Washington, D.C., on 21 August to bid final goodbye to Dr. Simon Nguiamba, the renowned Cameroonian economist, who died on 17 June after an illustrious career that ended with an extended stint as a consultant to the Bank.
